What is The Great Give?
The Great Give is a one-day giving event created by the Jewell County Community Foundation to inspire giving to our local non-profits. We hope to provide financial support while giving these non-profits a platform to share their missions and connect with donors.
As a result of years of successful March Match Month campaigns and with the support of the Patterson Family Foundation, JCCF has set aside $30,000 in matching funds for qualifying Jewell County nonprofits participating in The Great Give.
When and Where
WHEN: December 1, 2026 (Giving Tuesday)
WHERE: Mankato Community Center (214 N High St.)
TIME: 10 am - 6 pm
Donors who wish to donate online or by mail can do so anytime from Sunday, November 29th to midnight on Friday, December 4th.
How It Works: Donors
Donors select organization endowment(s) to support in person at The Great Give event on December 1st or by mail or online anytime between November 29th and midnight on December 4th. Gifts will be added to the principal of the selected organization's endowed fund at JCCF and are subject to the fund's spendable policy.
Donor gifts will be matched proportionally, up to 50% from JCCF's matching pool. No single organization can receive more than half of the total match.
There is no minimum donation amount. Matching funds are available on the first $1,500 donated by each individual to each participating organization, up to a maximum of $3,000 in matched donations per household per organization.
How It Works: Nonprofits
Qualifying nonprofits register to be a part of The Great Give event.
They receive gifts from donors that JCCF matches up to 50% from a $30,000 matching pool.
Gifts from donors and the JCCF match are automatically added to the principal of their endowment fund.
Who Can Participate?
Jewell County nonprofits that qualify for a match must hold either an Organization, Designated, or Field of Interest Fund with the Jewell County Community Foundation. A participation agreement is required to register for the event. For more information on becoming a qualified nonprofit, contact JCCF Director Kyra Gritten.
How To Donate
In Person: Attend The Great Give on December 1st anytime from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mankato Community Center, 214 N. High St., Mankato.
Online: Donate online anytime from Sunday, November 29th to Midnight on Friday, December 4th.
Mail: Print off and complete a donation form and drop it in the mail along with one check made out to JCCF. Checks must be received by December 3rd to qualify for matching funds. Mail to:
